sounded great right out of the box, took me all of 5 minutes to set the bridge and tune it up. it stays in tune surprisingly well, the tone is great with the back on and off, and it's quite attractive to boot. the case is fairly cheap but does the job and an extra tuner laying around is always welcome....and just look at those mother Pearl and abalone skull and crossbone inlays. They are a nice hat tip to the heavy metal in me.I benefited by sanding down the bridge a millimeter and replacing the adequate but basic strings with d'addario titanium concert ukulele strings. with a little TLC you don't need an expensive Gibson to perform and record, you just need one of these. It is a nice little instrument but a beginner, or even an experienced guitar/banjo/uke player will be annoyed by the string spacing on the neck due to the poor spacing of the grooves in the nut and bridge.Sounds pretty decent but better strings are a must. Seriously, for the price it is a killer little play-thing.it is crazy how nice this banjolele is! The quality of the wood and hardware and finishes are so impressive and I can't believe the price! It was missing the stencil that shows you where to put the bridge but I checked on google and found you measure from the nut to the 12th fret and then place bridge the same distance from the 12th fret on the drum/head. Mine measured 7 1/2". The sound is so nice and it even came with a pick up!!!! The strap is made for two buttons and there is only one on this banjolele so I don't know how to attach it but I don't need it anyway and I can use it on one of my other ukeleles! Worth the money and then some!Good value compared to the overpriced option down the street but the case was not like the one pictured. I partially bought this for the blue case and was really looking forward to the combo but recieved a grey case instead.... it's still fun to play with, the stars are present on the fretboard, and the rest of the instrument/ accessories are as advertised. It’s adorable. The sound takes me back to the 1920s. It can be loud if played with the pics or fingernails, or sweeter, if played with the pads of the fingers. I honestly thought I’d have to return this when I bought it, but I’ve been playing it every day for a month and now I’ll never part with it!!! It’s so crisp and clear sounding. The actions of the frets seem in tune. I usually tune before I play, so I’ve never noticed a problem with the tuning falling flat. I just tried tightening the banjo drum part for the first time and was so excited to hear a cool new sound. I’d say you won’t regret this purchase. If you have never played or if you’ve played ukulele forever, you’ll love it.I have been looking for a new hobby and someone recommended I learn the ukulele. So I decided to give it a go. Imagine my surprise and excitement to learn about the Banjolele! I ordered it! It has been so much fun to learn to play this little gem! It’s sounds it’s wonderful. It is easy to play. It is an instrument I enjoy sharing so others will want to order their own. Which I do recommend?I love it, it's so cute! I can't wait til I actually learn to play it!!Tuned like a ukulele, but sounds similar to a banjo. So much fun! This set does come with way too much stuff that you'll probably never even look at. But the banjolele itself is really nicely made and so much fun to play. It is louder than a ukulele, even with the same strings.Great product and was gratefully received as a presentI decided to edit my previous review as I have become accustomed to this instrument. For the money it cost, it is of remarkable quality. It can compete volume wise with any unamplified instrument, including guitars. Suprisingly loud. It has a distinctive banjo sound and is quite easy to play. The only negative is that it takes some getting used to to play clear ringing fretted notes. They tend to come out with a percussive thud if not attacked with finger nails at just the right approach. You can get a lot of different tones depending on where along the strings they are plucked or strummed. The really nice thing about these instruments is that they are so convenient to just pick up and play. It's small enough to fit in any suitcase, even carry on. This is a great substitute for back packer guitars for travelling. Really impressed with the quality too. If you are a beginner, don't lose the plastic template for setting the intonation .... ie bridge location. I have a house full of musical instruments and this is quickly becoming my favourite.Es precioso, me ha encantado . Su sonido es bastante bueno, sin ningún nguna duda volvería a comprarloThis is not as described. Gig bag is not blue and there is no wrench as per the pictureThis wasn’t really what I was expected. Seems cheap to me. I bought it back in November and it hasn’t really been used at all.
